A Word About Timings

All timings are listed in both Greenwich Mean Time and Eastern Daylight Time. Both Europe and North America is now on Daylight Time. For those of you who live in other time zones, you will need to make a calculation to derive the time of an event where you live. In the United States, subtract four (4) hours (from GMT) for the Eastern Time Zone, five (5) hours for the Central Time Zone, and six (6) hours for the Mountain Time Zone. Subtract seven (7) hours for the Pacific Time Zone and eight (8) hours for Alaska, and nine (9) hours for Hawaii. In UK and Portugal add one (1) hour and in most of Europe add two (2) hours (some Eastern European countries are now three (3) hours ahead of GMT). In the Southern Hemisphere, Autralia and New Zealand are now on Standard Time (Australia is 10 hours ahead of GMT; New Zealand is 12 hours ahead of GMT).
For those in the United States, it is useful to keep in mind that broadcasts in the evening hours often appear in the NEXT day's listings because they occur in the small hours in GMT time, which is our primary reference in the following listings.

Cristina Deutekom laat unieke privé-opnamen horen die haar man in verschillende operahuizen in de wereld heeft gemaakt van haar en van collega's met wie ze in haar lange carrière heeft gezongen, zoals Placido Domingo, Alfredo Kraus, Franco Corelli en Adriaan van Limpt. Biografie Cristina Deutekom (Amsterdam 1931) zong haar eerste rollen bij het Amsterdamse opera- en operettegezelschap Thalia. Haar professionele carriere begon in 1963. In dat jaar zong ze voor het eerst de aria van de Koningin van de Nacht bij de Nederlandse Opera. In de daaropvolgende decennia zong ze op alle grote podia in de wereld: van de Scala in Milaan tot de Metropolitan Opera in New York. Op haar repertoire staan alle grote belcanto-partijen die een coloratuursopraan kan zingen. In 1985 beëindigde ze haar carriere na hartklachten. Sindsdien gaf ze privé-lessen en masterclasses. Sinds ze drie jaar geleden werd getroffen door een herseninfarct leidt ze een teruggetrokken leven. Cristina Deutekom treedt niet vaak meer in de openbaarheid; voor het radioprogramma Opera Pietje van RTV Noord-Holland maakt ze een uitzondering. (2 hrs.)
